You Haven't Changed

Over the past 3 weeks I have had people who I hadn't seen in a long time make this comment to me. It's either "you haven't changed", "you look the same", "you never change" etc. So I'm wondering if this is a compliment or not. Are they thinking "damn girl so something with that hair" or it is "wow she's aging pretty good". It's really got me thinking and self conscious too. So are these comments a compliment or not? When you make that statement to someone what are you REALLY thinking inside your head.

Economy Vacations

>> Tuesday, May 26, 2009

With all the shit going on in my life right now taking a vacation is the last thing I can afford. However with the last day of school coming up I think or "dream" of it often enough. We used to take a week off and run down my SIL's vacation house at the beach. Last year we didn't get a chance to go due to my moms health and then her passing. This year we just can't afford it. After locating the places I wanted to take the family I realized that these couple of day trips would essentially equal out to that "week" at the beach. Now if we just took 3 day trips this summer we would probably save money but we would be on the road alot unless we decided to chip in for a hotel stay overnight. Or maybe we could do 2 long weekends? I'm not sure yet what our decision will be but I do know that I will be writing all expenses down on paper to see which option would benefit us financially.
